all for Abstracts: „New Methods for TA – Computational Content Analysis: Experiences, Potentials and Challenges” (04.-06.11.2019, Bratislava)

Dies ist ein Call for Abstracts für die Session „New Methods for TA – Computational Content Analysis: Experiences, Potentials and Challenges” auf der 4th European Conference on Technology Assessment in Bratislava, 4.-6. November 2019.

TA studies frequently involve analysing large amounts of content: scientific articles, policy documents, newspaper articles, or social media contributions. With this session, we aim to explore whether and how Computational Content Analysis, including text mining, topic modelling and bibliographic research, offers methodological innovations for TA studies. We invite presentations that reflect on the experiences made with specific methods and tools of Computational Content Analysis, focusing on the following topics:

  • The role of methods such as topic modelling, network analysis or bibliographic analysis in literature reviews and the assessment of scientific fields and discourses. The role of these methods in identifying inherent values in the content;
  • Computational CA methods for quantitative and qualitative discourse analysis;
  • Methods and tools useful for the analysis of visual content (such as images);
  • Methodological and practical challenges of Computational CA use in TA studies, with a view to reliability, validity and accuracy;
  • Combination of Computational CA with other TA methods.

Weitere Informationen finden sich im vollständigen Call zur Session.

Wir freuen uns über Abstracteinreichungen von max. 500 Wörtern bis zum 31.05.2019 an bratislava2019@savba.sk.
